Let's Go For a Dive

I have a girlfriend that is a "big time" sky diver and who travels all over the U.S. to jump out of airplanes, she is crazy! I can't imagine jumping out of a plane, not to mention doing it over and over like she does! I defintley admire her lack of fear. I on the other hand, am always up to defeat a new challenge (as long as I don't have to rely on a parachute for my life), so when she invited me to try out an indoor skydiving experience I said "HECK YES, Lets do this!"....

Last night my hunny and I were honored yet nervous (me) to join our expert skydiving friends at iFly Houston a new indoor skydiving facility located near downtown. Once we arrived, we checked in and took a short little class about the in's and out's of indoor diving. We suited up and the fun began!!!

That is Mark, my super fun instructor. All of the guys/girls at iFly Houston have tons of experience not only in the tunnel but on numerous amounts of skydives. Mark has done over 800 skydives out of everything from airplanes to hot air balloons, that's just nuts! He definteley made our experience a fun one!

We each did two tunnel rides that last sixty seconds each, believe me, it felt way longer. A real skydive has a free fall of only about 40-45 seconds.

Here you can see me heading over to the glass to give a thumbs up to my girlfriend, isn't her pink helmet and matching suit so stylish!!!

The best part of the night was during our last flight, when Mark grabs you and spins you in circles another 35 feet above your normal fly zone......dizzy......but worth it!!! You can see how he does this in the video above!

I'm excited to go back and try out new things and maybe one day be good enough to jump in a group tunnel dive!!!
