Last year my little brother decided to train and try out for NBC's American Ninja Warrior. If you have never seen the show, I highly suggest watching the re-runs, it's crazy insane. The show is geared toward obstacle courses that stress the use of grip and upper body strength. The competitors will have you in awe as you watch and think to yourself " this isn't possible!".

Long story short, my brother was cast in the show and dominated the Dallas, TX city try outs which earned him a spot in the Las Vegas Finals. Dallas try outs was also where Kacy Catanzaro became the first female competitor to make it up the warped wall and earn herself a spot in the Las Vegas Finals. I will say, it was pretty awesome to be a witness to this!

Unfortunatley, my brother was eliminated in the first round of the Las Vegas Finals. So as you can imagine, when season 7 was annouced, he was out with a vengance, but also challenged me to train and try out. I took him up on it of course, I'm a challenge junkie.

In October of last year, I began training at Iron Sports Fit in Houston, TX, a gym tailored to the show. Wow, can you say not easy!! I still have some work to do, but I am overall happy with my accomplishments thus far. In January, my brother and I submitted our try out videos to NBC and the waiting game has begun. If we both make it we will be the #firstbrothersisterduo on the show. AWESOME! So let's allkeep our fingers crossed.
