What a GREAT start to 2015!

I once again challenged myself to run this race and I surpassed my expections, yet again. It is a great accomplishment and I couldn't be happier. I actually decided 2 days beofre the race to "Go big or go home" and ran the ABB 5k on Saturday as a warm up, this is why I received two medals (pictured above) after the half. The race started with what I can only describe as the perfect weather for a marathon, 47 degrees at the start, and finished not much warmer than that, with some added sun shine here and there. I went out at a faster pace than I had planned, but hey, these legs weren't slowing down. It wasn't until I got to around mile 10 that I realized I was ahead of schedule and could beat the 2016 half marathon qualifying time of 1:52:55. I amped up and finished with an official time 1:52:07, this is 6 minutes faster than my time last year, thats HUGE!

A huge thank you goes out to all my fans and their support through training and race day, I could'nt have done it without them! Now I can't help but think, "What if I can beat my time every year by 6 minutes...?" Houston 2016 do I dare?
