Transformation Thursday, what can I say, you are not always my favorite day. This is the day where once a week I see my progess/digression and the reality of knowing what it truly takes to reach my ultimate goals and the changes I need to make to get there. Don't get me wrong, this day can also be an exciting one because hard work pays off, and seeing results is an amazing feeling! But, since I am human, I have those days where life gets in the way or I splurge, A LOT! I believe in creating a happiness in your routine that leaves you saying, "I ate cake, so what" instead of feeling guilty about it.

The first picture above is post marathon and after getting in some much needed rest with no routine in place. Also, I splurged A LOT this week because hey, I earned it! The second picture is from my last progress check in 16 weeks ago, yikes!

Starting at the end of December I amped up my running schedule significantly to properly prepare for the marathon (and the goals I had set) and lessened my ninja training to avoid any unecessary injuires. I leaned out a lot and lost some muscle mass, although I did try to consume more carbs during this time to take into account the fact that I was running a ton more.

Now it's time to get back into the GRIND and get some GAINZ! Yes, I've leaned out a bit more than I want, bet you never thought you'd hear that from someone. My goal is to get back the muscle I've lost while still staying toned and with out gaining body fat.

It's time to get ready for some awesome ninja-ness and that requires major muscle strength. This girl has some work to do! Now that I am not on a running schedule I can concentrate on hitting the gym. I really enjoy getting in a great sweat session and de-stressing with some fun workouts.

Fitness tip: I incorporate a small amount of cardio (not necessarily running) into my workouts, but no more than 15-20 minutes, depending on your goals, it's a great way to start each workout.

I will post my weekly pictures since accountability is key and I will also share my workouts and tips each week! Be sure to check out my training info if you are looking for a challenge and to become a fit, healthy, happy you!
